I have worked with raptors for 13+ years. I was previously the director of the Iowa Raptor Project for the University of Iowa. Prior to this position, I was a federal migratory bird and eagle biologist for the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service. As a bird biologist, I feel that I have a unique perspective on the behavioral, nutritional, and habitat needs of birds including those that cause a nuisance to people. I believe this perspective allows me to better do my job in deterring pest birds and reducing the numbers to a manageable level. I have worked on complex nuisance bird issues with private industry, and the federal government.
